And so in spite of the masked appearance and how absent jokes have been for the majorty of this chapter, I like to think that it's fair that Rock would boast that he pulled off another big stunt which won him the battle despite the (usual) size and firepower disadvantage.

One note of interest is that this particular scene was not part of the original draft, and was added after going through the chapter roughs again and found how Rock was a little too 'flat' in the midst of his fights. Considering what happens in the next page, I think it was worth it.
