I remember playing the Japanese version of the game when it first came out, with the Apple Market leaving a big impression on me at the time with its presentation style being close to an interactive anime world. It was not only many years later when I noticed that the Apple Market's concept is based on Japanese 商店街 (Shoutengai, lit. shopping streets). I guess the use of Japanese motifs is very much Capcom's design team style back in the 90s and early 2000s.

There were a few things I remember when I was drawing this page: I had yet to finalize the writing system in this story (which I eventually did and simply went with the Latin alphabet to be Terra's Lingua Franca) so a lot of scribbles are still present. Second was that I completed ALL of the lineart in the big panel of this page, only to lose it all from a power failure as I had the file on a RAM drive (and thus losing a whole day's worth of work :/)
